10,000 copies printed in 1978. Our new photographer was the art director of Capitol Records. I asked him to use a different lens for the photo. This photo seemed to distort Ted's face. It took about 8 months to sell the original printing, at which time we changed the photo for the 2nd edition. When Belwin Mills Publishing Corporation started printing the book, they used the photo from the lst edition. When Warner Bros. Publications printed the book, they used our 2nd edition photo.

When Ted gave me the manuscript for Jazz Guitar Single Note Soloing, it was too large to print in one book, so we decided to divide it into two separate volumes. We listed the table of contents for both volumes in Volume I only.
